No doubt, Computer games are often thought to be a brain-damaging exercise, some of them can help the brain work to improve brain's cognitive processes, memory, responsiveness and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
Playing video games has many benefits that you can't imagine.

Memory Improvement
Playing Video games can have many effects on our brain. A journal of Nature describes a research study in 2013 on a computer game (Neuroracer) for people with Alzheimer's disease. The study involved patients aged 60 to 75 years. The experiment took one month. The participants played the game after 1 hour a day, three times a week. The essence of the game is that when you drive a car with a twisted path, you will need to press the button to see the road signs. After completing the task, the player receives prize points and moves to a new level.

At the end of the month, it was observed that players who performed both actions at one time were able to better remember the names, dates, phone numbers. This condition lasted for as long as 6 months after the experiment.

Old age and video games

Other studies included patients aged 55 to 75 years. Scientists wanted to find out the influence of the popular game World of Warcraft (WoW) on the aging mind. This game is very engaging, requiring concentration of spatial thinking and attention.

The patient's abilities, such as gaming, motor skills, reactions and general cognitive abilities, were investigated before the experiment. The elderly played the game every two hours in the evening. The experiment took place for two weeks.

After this time, participants' competencies were re-tested. It turned out that the game had the greatest positive effect on those patients whose results before the study were very low. Scientists have concluded that games like World of Warcraft can increase the elasticity of older neurons.

Video Games for Senior people

Experts say computer games such as Neuroracer, WoW, and War Thunder can improve seniors' cognitive processes. It does not require any special gaming consoles. Most games can be installed on a computer, smartphone, or tablet.

Although scientists can not conclusively assert that computer games can delay old age disabilities such as Alzheimer's disease, dementia, etc., their discoveries undoubtedly demonstrate the positive influence of games on improving seniors' cognitive processes.
