Every day, anxiety affects millions of people. Whether it is work or personal life, several forms of anxiety, of different intensities, can be felt. If anxiety is positive when it is stimulating, especially because it can detect and anticipate a danger, the fact remains that its effects can have serious consequences on our health.

Fortunately, there are some small techniques you can use to learn how to reduce your anxiety level, to better manage your stress. Tips that are useful when you feel that stress is rising, to the point that it's time to do something.

All these small techniques do not always work, or on everyone, but it's up to you to know which ones are best for you, the ones that have the most beneficial effects on your health and well-being.

1. Exercise

You should start with this one, because it's easy and effective! Physical exercise lets out endorphins that improve your mood, and helps you relax. A basic, fast and inexpensive way to significantly reduce your stress (in record time - it will depend on you). Not to mention the rest of the benefits associated with physical activity (cardio, weight loss).

If playing sports is not "your thing", at least have the valor to do some stretches, it is going to make you good!

2. Tell friends and family

Discussing your issues with a friend, silently around a glass or two, meals, to externalize what you are feeling. You speak about your problems, an attentive hearing listens for you and advises you, you are feeling reassured. You are then away for some time from your stress, and it seems good ... 

3. Learn how to control your breathing

It's a bit like playing sports (ok, I'm putting that ...), the muscles need oxygen to work properly. The mind works the same way, and too many people still do not know how close the body and mind are. Some use the basic techniques of meditation to learn how to breathe better and oxygenate their minds. The benefits of meditation have been proven to be as effective as prescription medications for anxiety.

Take a minute to sit, close your eyes and breathe intensely.

4. Listen to music

Alright, it's not really a secret. Everyone knows those tunes, at least the style of music you like, has soothing or motivating virtues. But the trick to make it work best on your anxiety is to find old melodies that help remind you of positive thoughts! You will touch the nostalgia, the the one which luxuries, the the one that soothes...

5. Find what makes you feel good

In all possible and unimaginable activities, know how to find the ones that do you good. Because it is they who will contribute to your well-being and help reduce your anxiety. It can be an artistic or sporting activity, such as drawing, reading, swimming, cooking ... You are alone to know what can really calm your nerves!
